As a nutritionist I would say that, on a physical level, inflammation is one of the biggest causes of dis-ease in the body. Anything ending with an “itis” is an inflammation, for example, arthritis, tendinitis, colitis, bronchitis, etc. Most of the inflammation can be controlled by simply changing the foods that you eat and cleansing your body. Our food has become so over processed that often the body identifies it as an “invader” and then sets out to contain it. When this happens you then have all kinds of food allergies or sensitivities. Arthritis and most inflammatory diseases can be traced back to life long food sensitivities the biggest of which is wheat. The wheat that we are consuming now is not what our grand parents farmed and ate. It has been so modified and over-processed that the body often identifies it as a foreign invader. In my nutritional practice I have definitely found that removing wheat (yes even organic wheat) from the daily diet results in amazing health changes.
